A long overdue newsletter!
Reflecting on another busy year.
Added: 06 December 2022
We’ve been delighted to serve our menus at many wonderful wedding venues in glorious Devon and have finally caught up with all the weddings postponed during the restrictions in 2020 and 2021.
In November, Dave was invited again to judge at the Agrifest South West Primestock Show. Dave was pleased to pair with Christopher Riddle, Deputy Chairman of the Royal Smithfield Club and Secretary of the Royal Cornwall Agricultural Association, to taste the very best in local steak and burgers. The Royal Smithfield Club’s objectives, true to its founding principles, are to work for the benefit of the public promoting best practice in the production of quality livestock for the British meat industry to improve and promote the breeding of cattle, sheep, pigs, poultry and other livestock. An important topic in times of contention around food production and diet. Look out for more blogs on this topic through 2023. Agrifest was a great success, showcasing the very best of local cattle, sheep, products and services - and steak!
Our next event is the annual charity Christmas meal on the 22nd December, for Sporting Memories. Dave’s wife Ali co-facilitates community groups for middle-aged/older men at Tiverton Town FC and Exeter City FC, in collaboration with Exeter City Community Trust and the Sporting Memories Foundation. For more details about this good cause, and if you have a relative or friend who might benefit from this initiative, please see here. Looking at the weather forecast, it looks very chilly for cooking roast turkey outside at St James Park!
All that remains is to say thank you to all our customers, new and old, for supporting us for another year. Thanks also to Dale, Steve, Scott and all the amazing staff who work so hard for us through the summer. We look forward to next spring and another busy season.
Wishing you all a very happy Christmas.
Dave and the team.
